NAPERVILLE – North Central sophomore Christian Guzman is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in men’s wrestling, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
In a clash of the nation’s two top-ranked wrestlers at 125 pounds last Thursday, #1 Guzman defeated #2 Zac Blasioli of Millikin in a 4-1 decision. The victory allowed NCC to win the dual with the Big Blue, 32-7, and extend its CCIW win streak in league action to 47.
Tuesday's announcement gave Guzman two CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week awards during the 2023-24 season.
