NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) unveiled its postseason All-CCIW Teams in women’s basketball on Monday afternoon.

2023-24 All-CCIW Women's Basketball Teams
Millikin senior Elyce Knudsen was voted the Lori Kerans CCIW Most Outstanding Student-Athlete, becoming the first player in league history to claim the honor three times after previous wins in 2022 and 2023.

Jocelyn Trotter, a freshman at North Central, was selected CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year, and eighth-season head coach Lindsay Schultz of Carroll was named Beth Baker CCIW Coach of the Year.

Knudsen averaged a league-best 26.1 points per game during the 16-game CCIW schedule, shooting 51.8 percent from the floor, 38.3 percent from 3-point range and 86.1 percent at the free-throw line. She also ranked among the CCIW’s top five in assists per game (3.68, third), steals per game (2.25, fourth) and blocked shots per game (1.00, fourth). The senior from Philo, Ill., who was a three-time CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week this season, became the league’s all-time leading scorer in CCIW games earlier this season with 1,310 points in 59 games.

Trotter, also voted to the All-CCIW Second Team, is North Central’s first-ever CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year in women’s basketball. She was the league’s fifth-leading rebounder with 7.6 boards per contest, also adding 14.6 points per game. Both marks were most among league freshmen. Additionally, the guard from Bolingbrook, Ill. tied with Knudsen for fourth place among CCIW players with 1.00 blocked shot per game.

After leading Carroll to its first conference title since 2005-06 and the Pioneers’ first CCIW championship, Schultz was selected via a vote by her peers. CU finished the regular season 21-4 overall, 14-2 in the CCIW and climbed as high as #19 in the most recent D3hoops.com national rankings. Carroll’s 21 wins were its most since winning 22 games in 2005-06.

League co-champion Illinois Wesleyan was represented on the All-CCIW First Team by Lauren Huber and Mallory Powers. Carroll, the conference’s other co-champion, also placed Olivia Rangel and Natalie Gricius on the First Team. Rangel joined Knudsen as the only unanimous First-Team honorees.

Knudsen, Rangel and Huber are repeat First-team choices. Millikin’s Bailey Coffman was voted to the Second Team on Monday, making her and teammate Knudsen this season’s only four-time All-CCIW picks. Ten of the 16 honorees on Monday were first-time choices.
