CCIW Names Wheaton's Annie Tate Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE – Wheaton senior Annie Tate averaged 32.5 points and 9.5 rebounds over the final two games of the regular season to earn College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week honors in women’s basketball, the league announced Tuesday.
 
Tate, a 5-foot-10 guard from Elburn, Ill. that collected All-CCIW First Team accolades on Monday, equaled a career high with 39 points last Saturday in her final collegiate game versus North Park. She hit four 3-pointers and gathered nine rebounds. Three days prior, Tate delivered a 26-point, 10-rebound double-double with three assists and two blocks against Carthage.
 
Tate was 21-for-37 from the field (56.8%), 7-for-11 from long range (63.6%) and 16-for-19 (84.2%) from the free throw line between the two games.
