NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will be represented by 17 entries in eight different events this Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships at Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
Seven CCIW programs were represented when the NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the qualifiers on Sunday. A league-high four participants from the CCIW qualified for the shot put while Elmhurst’s Tiana Grady was the lone student-athlete to qualify in multiple events – the 60 meter hurdles and the 200 meter dash.
Three student-athletes are seeded in the top five of their events – Carroll’s Vanessa Uitenbroek was slotted third in the shot put, North Park’s Thea Ring was fifth in the pentathlon and Carthage’s Alexis Mattox was seeded fifth in the weight throw.
