NAPERVILLE – North Central sophomore Mitchell Mazzei was voted College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in men’s golf on Wednesday.
Mazzei, who was named CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year last spring, earned his second consecutive top-five finish to begin the season last Tuesday, Sept. 10 at Carthage’s Firebird Fall Invite in Lake Geneva, Wis. The Orland Park, Ill. native carded rounds of 77 and 70 at Hawk’s View Golf Club to tie for fifth place in the 96-player field.
