NAPERVILLE – Aurora sophomore Carlos Munoz-Flores was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
The 125-pounder from Crest Hill, Ill. went 4-0 at the CCIW duals in Kenosha, Wis. last Saturday – three pins and a technical fall. His efforts helped the Spartans to victories in all four of their dual matches.
Munoz-Flores picked up pinfall wins over Wheaton’s Matthew Au (3:40), MSOE’s Jesse Johnson (5:44) and Elmhurst’s Donovin Fields (4:22). His tech fall victory was by a score of 24-5 versus Jack Reina of Augustana.
