Additionally, the Cardinals checked in at #13 in the tournament rankings.
NCC, down one spot from its previous ranking of #9 on Dec. 20, is 6-1 in duals this season, including a perfect 4-0 mark against College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) opponents. Millikin is 11-0 overall and 5-0 against the CCIW this season after sweeping three duals against University Athletic Association opponents in Chicago last Saturday. The Big Blue beat Case Western Reserve (37-3), Chicago (24-15) and NYU (29-13) to stay unbeaten.
Wartburg remained the top-ranked team in Tuesday’s dual team announcement, followed by Wisconsin-La Crosse, Augsburg, Johnson & Wales and Wisconsin-Eau Claire. There were no changes to that order from the previous poll.
Both the Cardinals and Big Blue are scheduled to compete in the NWCA national duals beginning Friday. The two teams will meet in league action on Thursday, Jan. 23 in Decatur.
