IWU Surges to Program-Best #6 in AVCA Rankings

NAPERVILLE – Another new American Volleyball Coaches Association/TARAFLEX poll brought another new high mark for Illinois Wesleyan. The Titans were up one spot to sixth in the new rankings released Tuesday afternoon, IWU’s highest ranking in program history.
 
The Titans are 15-1 overall, 4-0 in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) and had 1,669 points in the new AVCA poll. IWU won at Carthage in four sets last Wednesday, its second straight win.
 
The top five in the new rankings – La Verne, East Texas Baptist, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Wisconsin-Whitewater and Juniata – were unchanged. The Titans jumped one spot over Emory on Tuesday.
