CCIW Coaches Tab Marian as 2025-26 Women’s Bowling Favorite

NAPERVILLE — Reigning champion Marian will be the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women’s bowling favorite in 2025-26, according to a preseason coaches’ poll unveiled on Friday.

Marian and Carroll each collected three first-place votes in the poll. The Sabres earned the top spot with 33 total points, while the Pioneers followed closely with 30 points. Marian has won or shared each of the first five regular-season titles and has claimed the last CCIW Tournament championships.

Aurora received 26 points to secure third place, while Carthage (19 points) and Elmhurst (18 points, one first-place vote) finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Augustana was sixth with 15 points, and Illinois Wesleyan rounded out the poll in seventh with six points.

Friday’s poll marked the first-ever preseason CCIW women’s bowling poll. The 2025-26 campaign marks the sixth season of CCIW sponsorship of women’s bowling. The season will culminate with the 2026 CCIW Championship, scheduled for March 21-22.
