CCIW Women’s Bowling Title to Be Decided This Weekend in Moline

MOLINE, Ill. — The 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Bowling Championship is set for this Saturday and Sunday at Highland Park Bowl in Moline, Ill, with Marian, Carroll, Augustana and Carthage earning the top four seeds in the league's annual double-elimination tournament.
 
Admission is $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for students, seniors and children over the age of two. The event will be streamed live on the CCIW Network at cciwnetwork.com.
 
Marian enters the weekend as the No. 1 seed after finishing 10-2 in conference play and claiming a share of its fifth consecutive regular-season title. The Sabres secured the top seed by winning the total pinfall tiebreaker over Carroll, 6,737 to 6,403. Marian’s lineup includes First Team All-Conference selections Kaitlyn Kesler and Elana Rimer, with Kesler carrying momentum into postseason play after posting a 230.6 traditional average in the final regular-season event.
 
Carroll also finished the regular season at 10-2 and secured a share of the conference championship, marking the first regular-season title in program history. The Pioneers opened the year with a 6-0 start and will bring one of the conference’s top-performing rosters into the tournament. Ava Butt became the first student-athlete in league history to earn CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year honors in back-to-back seasons after leading the conference with a 197.1 overall average and a 95.8 percent Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI). Carroll also features First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year Miley Brooks.
 
Augustana earned the No. 3 seed with a 7-5 record in CCIW play and will serve as host for this year’s championship. The Vikings turned in a steady regular season and finished third at both conference events. Anna Ricci highlighted the final regular-season weekend with a 200 Baker game, while Samantha Olson posted a 171.8 overall average in conference competition.
 
Carthage claimed the final tournament berth after finishing 6-6 in league play. The Firebirds are led by Second Team All-Conference selection Airie Frost, who ranked 10th in the conference with a 66.5 percent PCPI. Carthage also brings recent postseason success into the weekend, having captured the 2023 CCIW Championship.
 
Tournament play opens Saturday with Marian facing Carthage and Carroll taking on Augustana at 8 a.m. The winners will meet in the next round at 11 a.m., while the two opening-round losers will face off in an elimination match. Competition resumes Sunday in Moline with the remaining elimination match at 8 a.m. and the championship round at 11 a.m. A second championship match will be played if necessary.
 
Since the conference began sponsoring women’s bowling, Marian has won four tournament titles in 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025. Carthage remains the only other program to win the event, claiming the championship in 2023.
