NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has selected Alexandra Pugachova of North Park as Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday morning.
The sophomore won twice last Saturday in a dual against Wheaton, rallying alongside doubles partner Thea Gifvars for a 7-6 victory over Janet Kondo and Ella Malone from the second slot in the lineup.
She later went on to win at #1 singles, defeating Madeline Gentry, 6-1, 6-2.
