NAPERVILLE — Caroline Sjøstedt of North Park and Erin Fitzharris of Elmhurst were recognized as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Offensive: Caroline Sjøstedt, North Park
Sjøstedt notched a goal and three assists for the Vikings in their 5-1 CCIW win over Wheaton last Saturday in Chicago. The senior forward delivered the first three-assist game by a Viking against a CCIW opponent, as well as NPU’s largest margin of victory over Wheaton in program history.
Defensive: Erin Fitzharris, Elmhurst
In two starts for EU last week, Fitzharris posted a 0.50 goals-against average with an .875 saves percentage and a 1-0-1 record.
The sophomore had three saves last Wednesday to help the Bluejays to a 2-0 win over defending league champion Carroll. On Saturday, Fitzharris added four more stops in a 1-1 draw with Millikin.
