Illinois Wesleyan Extends Lead After Two Rounds at CCIW Women’s Golf Championship

METAMORA, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan continued its strong play Tuesday at the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Championship, more than doubling its lead after the second of three rounds at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Ill.
 
The Titans posted a team score of 297 on Tuesday and will take a 26-shot advantage into Wednesday’s final round. Illinois Wesleyan owns a 36-hole total of 598 (301–297), ahead of second-place North Central at 624 (315–309). Augustana is in third position at 631 (315–316), followed by Carthage in fourth at 637 (312–325).
 
IWU’s Emily Gastrau carded another 73 on Tuesday and remains atop the leaderboard at 146 (73–73). Gastrau owns a three-stroke lead over teammate Gigi Zera and Carthage’s Lexi Manteufel, who are tied for second at 149. North Central’s Madison Place is fourth at 150 and Illinois Wesleyan’s Nora Cerroni rounds out the top five at 151. The top seven individuals on the leaderboard are within six shots of each other.
 
The tournament concludes Wednesday with another 18 holes in Metamora. Final-round play begins at 9 a.m. at Metamora Fields Golf Club.
