WAUKESHA, Wis. — The first of two College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) regular-season women’s bowling weekends saw Carroll race to the front of the league standings at the midway point of the CCIW, posting a perfect 6-0 mark between Saturday and Sunday at Sunset Bowl Entertainment Center in Waukesha, Wis.

Carroll set the tone early during Saturday’s traditional format, rolling to a 3-0 start with head-to-head wins over Augustana, Carthage and Elmhurst. The Pios also led all teams on day one with a pinfall of 3,544. Marian also opened strong Saturday with an unbeaten 3-0 day and a 3,445 total, winning versus Carthage, Elmhurst and Augustana. Augie closed out the traditional portion at 2-2.
Carroll’s momentum carried into Sunday’s Baker matches, where Carroll again went undefeated, sweeping all three contests versus Aurora, Illinois Wesleyan and Marian. The Pioneers finished the weekend with a league-high pinfall of 6,219.
Marian maintained its position near the top throughout the event, securing second place with a 5-1 overall record and 6,032 total pins. Augustana followed in third at 4-2 with a pinfall of 5,725. Aurora, Elmhurst and Carthage each battled to identical 2-4 marks, finishing tied for fourth place. Illinois Wesleyan rounded out the field with a pinfall of 2,874 and an 0-6 record.
The league’s round-robin schedule will flip at its second regular-season event, hosted by Aurora on Feb. 28 and March 1. The top four teams in the final regular-season standings will qualify for double-elimination competition at the 2026 CCIW Championship at Highland Park Bowl in Moline, Ill. on March 21-22.
