NAPERVILLE — Carroll freshman Miley Brooks was named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Student-Athlete of the Week in women’s bowling on Wednesday morning.
Brooks led the Pioneers to a sixth-place team finish at Valparaiso’s Windy City Halloween Classic last weekend.
The Racine, Wis. native placed eighth individually, averaging 197 over the course of the tournament, including the event’s high game with a 269. Brooks converted more than 93 percent of her single-pin spares and posted a strike percentage exceeding 37 percent.
