NAPERVILLE – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week is Carroll’s Olivia Rangel, according to a Monday afternoon announcement from the conference office.
 
Rangel helped the Pioneers extend their win streak to eight with a pair of league wins last week, averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.5 steals.
 
The senior from Franklin, Wis. was 8-for-12 from the field in a 20-point, four-rebound, four-assist performance when the Pios defeated Carthage last Wednesday, 80-53. Rangel added another strong shooting performance in Saturday’s 86-74 victory over Millikin, going 7-for-12 from the floor and 10-for-12 at the free-throw line for 25 points. She also had seven boards, five assists and three steals in the win over the Big Blue.
 
Rangel, a three-time All-CCIW First Team pick, has now earned CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week honors three times this season and seven times in her CU career.
