NAPERVILLE – Brenna Schiekiera of Marian is the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Bowling Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday morning. The announcement marks her first weekly CCIW award this season and the fourth of her career.
The senior from Waukesha, Wis. helped the Sabres capture the CCIW regular-season title last weekend, starting Saturday with a four-game block of traditional games with a 203 average. She had a fill rate of 89 percent during the event’s first day.
She followed on Sunday with an 87 percent fill rate and had a strike percentage of 45 for the full weekend.
