NAPERVILLE — Gigi Zerra of Illinois Wesleyan paced the Titans at last weekend’s IWU Fall Classic to earn Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week accolades from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) on Wednesday afternoon.
Carding back-to-back rounds of one-over 73 at the 5,823-yard Ironwood Golf Course, Zera tied her career-best 18-hole score and tallied her career-best 36-hole score by seven strokes. The sophomore from Glenview, Ill. led the Titans to a three-stroke team victory over DePauw.
It is the first team time the Titans have won the IWU Fall Classic since the tournament began in 2000.
