NAPERVILLE — Carroll senior Natalie Gricius delivered back-to-back double-doubles to earn College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honors on Monday following a pair of conference victories.
Gricius averaged 26.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as the 21st-ranked Pioneers defeated Elmhurst and Millikin to move to 4-1 in league play. She also contributed 2.0 assists per game during the week.
The Oconomowoc, Wis. native recorded 19 points and 10 rebounds in an 88-83 win over Elmhurst on Wednesday before posting a game-high 33 points and 11 rebounds in an 82-64 victory over Millikin on Saturday. She shot 11-of-15 from the field and 9-of-10 at the free-throw line against the Big Blue.
