ELMHURST, Ill. — North Central secured its fourth consecutive College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Wrestling Championship on Sunday, finishing atop the team standings with 184.5 points at the fourth annual tournament inside Elmhurst’s R.A. Faganel Hall.
 
The Cardinals pulled away from the field to outdistance runner-up Aurora (140.0) and third-place Augustana (106.5). North Central’s championship performance was highlighted by six individual weight-class titles, as Cardinal wrestlers claimed conference crowns at 110, 117, 145, 160, 180 and 207 pounds. 
 
The North Central coaching staff – headed by Joe Norton – was named CCIW Coaching Staff of the Year. Aurora’s Alexis Janiak earned CCIW Most Outstanding Student-Athlete honors following her championship effort at 131 pounds, while North Central’s Jael Miller was selected as the CCIW First-Year Student-Athlete of the Year after her title run at 180. 
 
North Central’s Taylor Miess, a second-place finisher at 138 pounds, was also honored with the CCIW Elite 26 Award, recognizing excellence in both academics and athletics.
 
Eliana Paramo opened the championship run with a 2-0 decision over Aurora’s Katelyn Bell at 110 pounds, while Bella Bolek followed with a 16-6 technical fall over Zoee Sadler of Aurora at 117. Natalie Klavetter captured the 145-pound title with a pin of Illinois Wesleyan’s Jillian Giller and Taylor Graveman claimed the championship at 160 pounds with a 10-10 decision over teammate Sydney Perry. 
 
Jael Miller earned a 10-0 technical fall over Aurora’s Anneliese Tavira at 180 pounds, and Tirza Twoteeth closed the Cardinals’ title haul with a 10-0 technical fall against Illinois Wesleyan’s Alivia Davey at 207. 
 
Additional individual champions included Genesis Ramirez (103), Natasha Markoutsis (124) and Janiak (131) of Aurora, along with Augustana’s Aine Moffit at 138 pounds.
