CCIW Names Sorg, Oleson Men's Track and Field Student-Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE — A pair of North Central student-athletes were recognized by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) following strong performances at the Leonard “Squig” Converse Invitational, as BJ Sorg and Cole Oleson earned the league’s Men’s Indoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
 
Track: BJ Sorg, North Central
Competing in his first 3,000-meter race of the season, Sorg posted a personal-best time of 8:24.73 to finish third in the event. His time currently ranks first in the CCIW and 26th nationally among NCAA Division III competitors. A native of Plainfield, Illinois, Sorg is coming off a 2025 outdoor season in which he earned Second Team All-America honors in the 10,000-meter run.
 
Field: Cole Oleson, North Central

Oleson won the high jump at the Leonard “Squig” Converse Invitational, clearing a season-best height of 2.06 meters (6-9), to top the field by two inches. The mark ranks first in the CCIW and fifth nationally in NCAA Division III.
