NAPERVILLE — Following a strong performance against a nationally competitive field at Vanderbilt’s Music City Classic, Aurora senior Annemarie Ruzevich has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Bowling Student-Athlete of the Week.
Ruzevich earned the recognition after placing 29th overall out of 221 bowlers at the tournament, which was held last weekend in Nashville, Tenn. Her showing marked the highest individual finish among Division III competitors in the event.
During traditional team play, Ruzevich totaled 1,009 pins across five games for a 201.8 average. Her performance included a 240 in the opening game and a tournament-high 244 in the third game. She also recorded scores of 179, 155 and 191 during the segment.
