NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its latest Men’s Lacrosse Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, recognizing Illinois Wesleyan sophomore attacker Owen Miller and Elmhurst senior goalkeeper Andrew Lacksonen. Both players helped their teams post 2-0 records during non-conference play.
 
Offensive: Owen Miller, Illinois Wesleyan
Miller earned Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors after leading Illinois Wesleyan with 10 points in two wins. A sophomore from Brookfield, Wis., Miller totaled seven goals and three assists while averaging 5.0 points per game. 
 
He posted a career-high five points on four goals in a 17-6 win over Wabash, then matched that point total in a 14-9 victory over Calvin with three goals and two assists. Miller also added four ground balls and one caused turnover against Calvin.
 
Defensive: Andrew Lacksonen, Elmhurst
Lacksonen was selected as Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week after contributing to victories over Wooster and Albion. The Dublin, Ohio native recorded 25 saves over 110 minutes and finished the week with a .658 save percentage and a 7.06 goals-against average. 
 
He opened with 10 saves in a 10-6 road win at Wooster before turning aside 15 shots in a 14-7 home victory over Albion. His performance helped the Bluejays improve to 8-2 overall.
