NAPERVILLE — Augustana senior Hannah Colbert has been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
 
Colbert turned in a 2-0 singles record, with one additional match unfinished, and went 2-1 in doubles play during the week. Playing at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles, she contributed across a stretch of non-conference competition for the Vikings.
 
Against Central on April 1, Colbert and Maripaz Ramirez posted a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles in Augustana’s 4-3 team victory. Colbert also earned a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles.
 
Last Wednesday against Lake Forest, Colbert recorded Augustana’s only victory in the dual by winning a three-set match at No. 1 singles. She defeated Sofia Strupovets, 7-5, 3-6, 10-8.
 
Colbert and Anna-Maria Huebel added a 7-6 (1) win at No. 1 doubles against St. Ambrose. Her singles match against St. Ambrose was unfinished due to rain after she won the opening set.
