NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced Tuesday that Augustana freshman Calvin Short has been named the Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week.
Short earned the honor after helping lead Augustana to a team title at the Fighting Scot Spring Invite. The Bettendorf, Iowa native claimed medalist honors in the 10-team event with a two-round score of 149, shooting 70 in the opening round and 79 in the second.
His first-round 70 included an eagle on hole 14 and left him at one-under par through the opening day of the tournament.
