BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The 2026 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Championship began Thursday with two quarterfinal matches at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill, as fourth-seeded Augustana and third-seeded Carthage both advanced with 4-0 victories to move into Friday’s semifinal round.
 
#4 Augustana def. #5 Carroll, 4-0
Fourth-seeded Augustana opened the tournament with a 4-0 win over fifth-seeded Carroll on Thursday morning. The Vikings improved to 9-9 overall and advanced to face top-seeded North Central in Friday’s semifinal round.
 
Augustana earned the doubles point with victories at the top two positions. Hannah Colbert and Anna-Maria Huebel won 7-6 at No. 1 doubles, while Colleen Larry and Maripaz Ramirez added a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead.
 
The Vikings clinched the match with three singles victories in the lower half of the lineup. Larry won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4 singles, and Maddy Harned followed with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 5. Kassidy Anderson completed the team win at No. 6 singles, coming back for a 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 result.
 
#3 Carthage def. #6 North Park, 4-0
Third-seeded Carthage advanced later Thursday with a 4-0 victory over sixth-seeded North Park. The Firebirds moved to 10-9 overall and will meet second-seeded Wheaton in Friday’s semifinal round.
 
Carthage took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Niki Manojlovic and Marie Weis earned a 6-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, and Jordan Miller and Bella Rizzo secured the point with a 6-2 win at No. 3.
 
The Firebirds added three straight-set singles wins to close the match. Rizzo won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5 singles, and Manojlovic followed with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3. Valentina Huesca provided the deciding point at No. 6 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
 
The CCIW Women’s Tennis Championship continues Friday in Bloomington. Fourth-seeded Augustana will face top-seeded North Central at 10 a.m., followed by third-seeded Carthage against second-seeded Wheaton at 2 p.m.
