NAPERVILLE, Ill. -  North Central College’s Phillipp Wottgen claimed College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week honors after winning the No. 1 singles flight at the CCIW Fall Invitational.

Wottgen went 3-0 in singles, earning victories over Augustana College’s Diaz, Millikin University’s Klein and Wheaton College’s Jang to capture the flight title. He also went 1-2 at No. 1 doubles, picking up a victory over Carroll University.

Wottgen will next compete at the ITA Central Region Championships at Wabash College October 2-4.
