Rock, Tolliver named CCIW Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan’s Lauren Rock and North Central’s Brianna Tolliver were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week Tuesday.

Rock, a junior from Madison, Wis., and James Madison Memorial High School (Elementary Education major), finished second in the 400-meter dash at the Washington University Invitational over the weekend. Her time of 55.68 was a personal best and she was second only to Division I runner Emma Shell of Southern Baptist. Her time is currently .01 seconds behind the national leader.

Tolliver, a senior from Las Vegas, Nevada and Sierra Vista High School (Broadcast Communication major), broke her own school record in winning the javelin at North Central’s First Chance Meet over the weekend. Her throw of 139-6 beat her old mark by 17 inches and currently places her third nationally.
