LA CROSSE, Wis. – Three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) student-athletes won national championships at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held Thursday through Saturday at UW-La Crosse.
Augustana’s Charlotte Frere, North Central’s Alivia Henkel and Illinois Wesleyan’s Imani Ogunribido each claimed individual titles for the conference. Frere won the discus for the third consecutive outdoor championship, recording a winning mark of 51.14 meters. The title followed a season in which she established a new NCAA Division III all-time record in the event and made her the first female student-athlete in Augustana history to win three consecutive national championships.
Henkel won the 400-meter hurdles in her first appearance at the national meet, finishing in a personal-best time of 58.65 seconds. Her championship time ranks fifth in NCAA Division III history. During the preliminary round, Henkel also became the first CCIW student-athlete to finish the event in under 60 seconds.
Ogunribido earned her second consecutive outdoor national title in the triple jump. The Illinois Wesleyan standout recorded a season-best jump of 12.83 meters on her final attempt to secure the championship. She became the third women’s triple jumper in Division III history to win back-to-back outdoor titles.
Illinois Wesleyan also received a third-place finish from Adriana Crabtree in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Crabtree finished in 10:18.82, setting a new CCIW all-time record in the event. Carthage’s Jackie Tuzil added a fifth-place showing in the discus with a mark of 46.87 meters.
Elmhurst’s 4x100-meter relay team of Tiana Grady, Jasha James, Carmela Woods and Paulina Tinajero finished ninth nationally in 46.80 seconds. North Central’s Gwen Berenyi placed 13th in the pole vault, while Illinois Wesleyan’s Taylor French finished 12th in the javelin.
Illinois Wesleyan led all CCIW programs in the team standings, tying for 18th place with 16 points. Augustana and North Central each scored 10 points to tie for 26th place.
