NEW ORLEANS, La. -- Charlotte Frere of the Augustana Vikings women's track and field team has earned the USTFCCA National Athlete of the Week honor for the third time this season.
Frere earned this award following her standout performance at the Midwest Twilight Qualifier hosted by Augustana. In the discus throw, the senior recorded the second-farthest mark in NCAA Division III history after setting the division record two weeks earlier. She now owns four of the top five marks in Division III history, all achieved on her home track this season.
This marks Frere's fourth career recognition and third national weekly honor of the season. She is also the first NCAA Division III women's athlete to earn national weekly honors three times in a single season since 2017.
