NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Augustana’s 4x400 relay-meter relay team, along with North Central’s
Dan Lowry were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
The Vikings’ 1600 relay team of
Isaac Smith (Marion, Iowa/H.S.),
David Devore (Midland, Mich./H.S.),
Keith Cline (Byron, Ill./H.S.) and
David Voland (Batavia, Ill./H.S.) won with a time of 3:16.00 at Dubuque’s Spartan Invitational on Friday. The time broke the previous school record of 3:16.88 and is currently ranked first in NCAA Division III.
Lowry, a senior from Arlington Heights, Illinois and Rolling Meadows High School (Physical Education major), won the weight throw at the Cardinal Classic on Friday with a throw of 15.49 meters (50-10). His mark was a personal best.
