NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s
Megan Costanzo and Illinois Wesleyan’s
Allie Boudreau were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Costanzo, a junior from Huntington Beach, California and Somonauk (Ill.) High School (Psychology major), ran a school record and lifetime best in the 5,000-meter run at the Gina Relays over the weekend. Her time of 17:00.41 ranks eighth in NCAA Division III and first in the CCIW. She placed seventh in a field of 26 and was the first Division III athlete.
Boudreau, a senior from Deerfield, Illinois and Deerfield High School (Accounting major), broke her own school record in the heptathlon at the Drake Relays over the weekend. Her score of 5,065 is currently No. 1 in the CCIW and in NCAA Division III.
