NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central’s Zach Plank and North Park’s Rasmus Elfgaard were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Wednesday.
 
Plank, a senior from Dunlap, Illinois and Dunlap High School (Actuarial Science major), placed third in the 10,000-meter run during UW-La Crosse’s Phil Esten Challenge on Friday. His time of 30:03.42 is currently ranked eighth nationally in NCAA Division III and first in the CCIW.
 
Elfgaard, a junior from Jonkoping, Sweden (Business major), placed fifth in the decathlon at the Kansas Relays last week with 6,484 points. He was the third collegiate finisher and first non-NCAA Division I athlete. Elgaard is currently ranked sixth nationally in the decathlon and first in the CCIW.
