D3hoops.com Preseason Men's All-America Team | North Central Release | Elmhurst Release

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central senior forward Connor Raridon and Elmhurst junior guard Jake Rhode were recently named to the 2019-20 D3hoops.com Preseason Men's All-America Team.

A native of Plainfield, Illinois and Neuqua Valley High School, Raridon was named to the First Team after helping lead the Cardinals to a College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Basketball Tournament title and an NCAA postseason berth last season. Raridon was a unanimous First Team All-CCIW selection, a D3hoops.com First Team All-Central Region selection, and a D3hoops.com Second Team All-American. He started all 29 games in 2018-19 as he averaged 18 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

A native of Chicago Heights, Illinois and Mt. Carmel High School, Rhode was a Third Team selection as he averaged a team-leading 19.9 points and a team-best 112 assists last season. He was a First Team All-CCIW member in 2018-19 and earned D3hoops.com Third Team All-Region honoree. Rhode was named the CCIW Freshman of the Year in 2017-18 while averaging 13.3 points and 128 assists.  
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2018-19 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,200 academic all-conference recipients, 18 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 43 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
