Andy Hinch was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season on Wednesday.
A native of Decatur, Illinois and Mount Zion High School (Marketing major), Hinch was 4-0 against CCIW competition last week including 2-0 at No. 5 singles and 2-0 at No. 1 doubles. Hinch and doubles partner Victor Krueger beat Carthage's Tripp Schulte and John Nykyforuk (8-3) on April 12 and Carroll's Chayce Roecker and Joseph Harrison (8-4) on April 13. His singles wins came against Carthage's Matt Krzewinski (6-1, 4-6, 6-4) and Carroll's Ryan Strupp (6-0, 6-1) as the Cardinals beat the Red Men 5-4 and the Pioneers 6-3.

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2017-18 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,100 academic all-conference recipients, 15 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 28 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
