NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Diana Barcelata was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season on Wednesday.

Barcelata, a senior from Veracruz, Mexico and the International High School (Broadcast Communication major), went 4-0 in a pair of team wins over St. Norbert and Saint Mary's (Ind.) on Sunday. Barcelata and doubles partner Katie McGraw went 2-0 at the No. 2 position with wins over St. Norbert's Hannah Swajanen and Hannah Keller (8-5) and Saint Mary's Alyssa Gulli and Lilly Chamberlin (8-3). She also went 2-0 at No. 1 singles, beating St. Norbert's Lauren Paulson (6-1, 6-0) and Saint Mary's Monica Davy (6-1, 6-0).

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was founded in 1946 and currently services nine member institutions including Augustana College (Rock Island, IL), Carroll University (Waukesha, WI), Carthage College (Kenosha, WI), Elmhurst College (Elmhurst, IL), Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, IL), Millikin University (Decatur, IL), North Central College (Naperville, IL), North Park University (Chicago, IL) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). During the 2017-18 academic year, the CCIW honored over 2,100 academic all-conference recipients, 15 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, 28 CoSIDA Academic All-District recipients, and over 100 all-Americans.
