NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's
Gabe Pommier and Wheaton's
Isaiah Clausen were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Pommier, a senior from Mahomet, Illinois and Mahomet-Seymour High School, ran a personal best in the mile on Saturday with a time of 4:09.10. His converted time of 4:05.97 ranks first in the CCIW and first on the NCAA Division III national list by almost three seconds.
Clausen, a sophomore from Lakeville, Minnesota and Minneapolis Southwest High School, was the top collegiate athlete at Carthage’s multi-event meet on Saturday. He finished the heptathlon with a score of 4,277, setting personal records in the hurdles (8.09), shot put (30-6 1/4), high jump (5-8 1/2) and pole vault (13-1 1/2). Clausen is currently ranked fourth in the heptathlon in NCAA Division III and first in the CCIW.

Conference TFRI
No CCIW champion will be declared this indoor season, but the CCIW will keep track of ongoing standings and results via the USTFCCCA Conference TFRI. The
