CCIW Men’s Indoor Track and Field Sends 11 to NCAA Championships

NAPERVILLE — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) will be represented by 11 student-athletes at the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for March 13-14 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
 
Augustana senior Magnus Wells qualified in the weight throw and enters the meet seeded fourth nationally with a school-record mark of 19.33 meters. Carroll will send two freshmen, as Brian Smith qualified in the 400-meter dash with a school-record time of 47.52 seconds and Carlos Cadet earned selection in the triple jump with a mark of 14.76 meters. 
 
Carthage senior Tyler Rose qualified in both the shot put (17.07m) and weight throw (19.19m), while junior Dylan Parker earned a berth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.00 seconds.
 
Illinois Wesleyan senior Evan Lowder qualified for his third career indoor national championship appearance in the 400-meter dash and enters the field with a season-best time of 47.56 seconds. North Central qualified three student-athletes across three events, led by junior BJ Sorg in the 5,000-meter run (14:06.37), along with senior Cole Oleson in the high jump (2.06m) and senior Prentice Myles in the long jump (7.22m). 
 
Wheaton sophomore Ty Bova also qualified in the high jump with a mark of 2.06 meters, recorded during his CCIW championship performance.
