North Central sweeps CCIW Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Gabe Pommier and Kendall Johnson were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Pommier, a senior from Mahomet, Illinois and Mahomet-Seymour High School, won the mile during the Cardinals' dual meet with Wheaton on Saturday. His time of 4:13.29 currently ranks first in the CCIW and fourth on the NCAA Division III national list. 

Johnson, a senior from Palatine, Illinois and Palatine High School, won the triple jump against Wheaton on Saturday, finishing with a distance of 46-7 1/2 (14.21 meters). This mark currently ranks first in both the CCIW and in Division III.

Conference TFRI
No CCIW champion will be declared this indoor season, but the CCIW will keep track of ongoing standings and results via the USTFCCCA Conference TFRI. The men's standings and the women's standings can be found via USTFCCCA.org.
