NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's
Katie Bonney and Augustana's
Katrina Krebasch were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Bonney, a senior from Palatine, Illinois and Hoffman Estates High School, won the 400 (59.20) and 200 (25.86) during the Cardinals' dual meet with Wheaton on Saturday. This was only her second time competing in the 200 (high school or college) as her time was a personal best and tied for fifth all-time in school history. Her 400 time is ranked second in the CCIW and ninth on the NCAA Division III national list, while her 200 time is first in the CCIW and seventh in Division III.
Krebasch, a junior from Wood Dale, Illinois and Fenton High School, won her second CCIW Field Athlete of the Week honor this season after winning both the high jump (5-0 1/4) and pole vault (11-9 3/4) at Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday. Her pole vault mark was a career best and it placed her first in the CCIW and fourth in Division III.
