CCIW Closes Indoor Season at NCAA Women’s Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) was represented by 13 qualifiers from seven institutions at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex. 
 
Illinois Wesleyan posted the conference’s top team finish, tying for 19th place with 11 points. Junior Imani Ogunribido earned First Team All-America honors in the triple jump with a third-place finish and a mark of 12.26 meters, while junior Mackenzie Huber also collected First Team All-America recognition by placing fourth in the 800-meter run in 2:10.85. Senior Adriana Crabtree added a Second Team All-America finish in the 3,000-meter run, placing 14th in 9:49.62.
 
Carthage senior Madison Payne concluded the indoor season with two Second Team All-America performances. Payne finished 14th in the weight throw with a top mark of 16.50 meters and placed 16th in the shot put with a mark of 12.79 meters.
 
Elmhurst sent a program-record six qualifiers to the national championships and recorded a series of Second Team All-America finishes. Junior Paulina Tinajero placed ninth in the triple jump at 11.65 meters and 10th in the long jump at 5.49 meters to earn Second Team All-America recognition in both events. Sophomore Chloe Selmer also earned Second Team All-America honors in two events, finishing 13th in the triple jump and 15th in the long jump.
 
On the track, Carmela Woods recorded a personal-best time of 56.29 in the 400-meter preliminaries to finish 12th and earn Second Team All-America honors. Tiana Grady added a Second Team All-America finish with a 14th-place result in the 60-meter hurdles preliminaries in 8.80, while Sarah Hahn placed 15th in the 800-meter preliminaries in 2:13.10 to receive Second Team All-America recognition.
 
Wheaton junior Gracie Crowder represented the Thunder in the high jump and finished 10th after clearing 1.67 meters, earning Second Team All-America honors. North Park senior Riana Hayes competed in the 60-meter dash and placed 20th in the preliminary round with a time of 8.26. North Central senior Gwen Berenyi made her second consecutive national appearance in the pole vault, while Carroll freshman Jenna Weis competed in the pole vault in her NCAA championship debut.
