North Central's Pommier, Johnson named CCIW Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central's Gabe Pommier and Kendall Johnson were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Pommier, a senior from Mahomet, Illinois and Mahomet-Seymour High School, won his third CCIW Athlete of the Week honor this season following his victory in the mile on Saturday against Elmhurst. He finished with a time of 4:09.39 and is currently ranked first in both the CCIW and on the NCAA Division III national list. 

Johnson, a senior from Palatine, Illinois and Palatine High School, achieved a personal best in winning the triple jump with a distance of 14.34 meters on Saturday. This mark put him at No. 1 in the CCIW and seventh in NCAA Division III. This was Johnson's second CCIW Athlete of the Week honor this season.
