Wheaton's Ezewuzie, North Central's Gallisath named CCIW Women's Track & Field Athletes of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wheaton's Favor Ezewuzie and North Central's Taiah Gallisath were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Ezewuzie, a senior from Malden, Massachusetts and Covenant Christian Academy, placed in the top three in four events during the Benedictine Invitational on Friday. She placed third in the 100-meter dash (12.05), third in the 200-meter dash (24.16), second in the 100-meter hurdles (14.47), and anchored the third place 4x100-meter relay (49.67). Her time in the 200 is currently ranked first in the CCIW and in NCAA Division III. Additionally, Ezewuzie currently has the top times in the 100 dash and 100 hurdles, which she accomplished at the Texas Relays on March 25. 

Gallisath, a senior from Machesney Park, Illinois and Harlem High School, won the high jump at the Benedictine Invitational, finishing with a height of 1.65 meters (5-5). This tied her outdoor personal record and is currently ranked first in the CCIW and eighth in Division III.
