NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Wheaton's 4x400-meter relay team, along with North Central's
Taylor Sadkowski were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
The relay team of
Eli Odell,
Peter Van Os,
Max Veth and
Andrew Lauber placed second at the Wheaton Invitational on Saturday. Their time of 3:16.76 is ranked first in the conference by 3.42 seconds and is also ranked seventh on the NCAA Division III national list.
Sadkowski, a junior from Glen Ellyn, Illinois and Glenbard South High School, took second in the hammer at the Wheaton Invitational. He finished with a personal-best throw of 51.40 meters (168-7), which ranks fourth all-time on North Central's all-time hammer list. This mark ranks fourth in the CCIW and 33rd on the Division III national list.
