NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- North Central sophomore Javier Suarez Balsera was selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.

A native of Madrid, Spain, Suarez Balsera went 2-0 against CCIW competition, winning his matches at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles. He and doubles partner Ramon Vilarroig defeated Millikin's Clayton Maack and Holden Owens (8-6). Suarez Balsera then won his singles match in a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Jacob Palley.
