Jamauri Spivery and Carthage's
Joseph White were selected as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men's Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Spivery, a senior from Chicago and Perspectives Center, won the 60-meter dash at North Central's Cardinal Opener on Saturday. He earned a personal best and school record time of 6.98, which currently ranks second in the CCIW and 32nd on the NCAA Division III national list.
White, a sophomore from Kenosha, Wisconsin and Indian Trail High School & Academy, placed first in the weight throw (18.70 meters) and third in the shot put (14.65 meters) during Carthage's Firebird Opener this past weekend. His mark in the weight throw moved him to second all-time in program history. Additionally, the mark currently ranks first in the CCIW and second nationally. White's shot put mark is currently fourth in the conference and 23rd nationally.
