Bassett Repeats as CCIW Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Natalie Bassett, a sophomore at North Central, has repeated as the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
 
Bassett performed well for the Cardinals at the ITA Regional Championships in St. Louis, becoming the first player in program history to reach the singles quarterfinals. She earned three singles wins at the event over opponents from DePauw, Otterbein and Denison before bowing out in the round of eight.
 
In doubles play, the sophomore from Bluffton, S.C. teamed with Kaeli Smashey to advance to the round of 16.
