NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Central sophomore Sydney Petzinger has been voted College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.
A native of Parsippany, N.J., Petzinger went 7-0 over the weekend in the Adrian Duals and Invitational. She posted two dual wins over wrestlers from Tiffin and McKendree, then followed with a 5-0 effort on Sunday to win the 109-pound bracket. Petzinger won a 4-2 decision over teammate Kendra Ryan in the final.
