NAPERVILLE – Alondra Aguayo, a North Central junior from Wheeling, Ill., has been named College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Wrestling Student-Athlete of the Week.
With two starters unavailable due to injury, Aguyao stepped into the Cardinals’ lineup last Thursday night and delivered a first-period in fall in 2:20. The victory at 191 pounds, Aguyao’s first varsity action in a dual meet of the campaign, was part of the Cardinals’ 45-0 shutout at Augustana.
