Lindsey Novak and Carroll's
Jamie Pankratz were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.
Novak, a junior from Lombard, Illinois and Glenbard East High School, ran a pair of personal bests at Aurora University's Grand Prix on Saturday. She placed second in the 400-meter run with a time of 58.39 (59.19 converted), and was third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.17 (26.58 converted). This was only the second time Novak competed in both events. She is currently ranked first in the CCIW in the 400 and third in the 200.
Pankratz, a senior from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Winnebago North High School, won her second CCIW Field Athlete of the Week honor after winning the weight throw at the Aurora Grand Prix. She finished with a toss of 17.08 meters, which is currently first in the CCIW and seventh on the NCAA Division III national list.
